Gary Todd from UK Haptics demonstrated Virtual Veins at the Paramedic Training Centre for the North East Ambulance Trust on the 21st March 2007.

Here's what the trainees thought:

"it just feels so realistic"

"that’s what a real arm feels like when you insert a needle"

"feels like someone’s “bouncy” skin"

"feels as though you are really penetrating the hand"

"really impressive"

Over 80% of the trainees to whom Virtual Veins was demonstrated returned later in the day to self train on venepuncture and cannulation.
