UK Haptics has developed a unique learning experience to complement existing training methods.
The Clinical Skills Trainer provides access to the growing range of virtual reality training
simulations from UK Haptics.
Users log in to the Clinical Skills Trainer to run Virtual Veins or other UK Haptics medical/clinical simulators.
This provides a consistent environment for students and clinicians to work in and to practice various
clinical and medical procedures by linking through to their 3D virtual reality simulations.
Since all UK Haptics medical simluations will be put together using the same formatting and layout
this means that your users don’t have to learn how each simulator works each time a new one is added
to the repertoire. Students and clinicians can view their results as they work and have ready access to the
results later via either the UK Haptics website or their own organisations MLE/VLE where this has been
set up to take input from the UK Haptics software.
Administrators of the system in an organisation, can add students, organise them into groups, set up
course access for students, add the organisations own learning materials, protocols, policies and procedures
into the package for direct access by students and practitioners, they can add news articles for their
organisation or departments and view feedback on student progress.
Once your students are added to the system, it’s time to give them access to the simulators you want
them to use and you can also set which scenarios you want them to have access to.
